Eleanor Laing is MP for Epping Forest Since July 2007 she has been Shadow JUSTICE Minister It seems that in the feeding frenzy launched many years ago by Margaret Thatcher, our otherwise unremarkable MP has been quaffing and filling her boots more regularly than most in the very lucrative trough of taxpayers' money. They have collectively supported and participated in an appallingly corrupt system for years, yet party leaders are competing with each other to promise future reform. Does that mean they will sack themselves and all the pathetic civil servant 'watchdogs' who turned a blind eye while they supped up the swill? The Britain’s Got Talent result proves that that people will, despite pressure from show biz mafia or political party dinosaurs, exercise their right to elect whoever they damned well want. Representing our constituency we have a Shadow JUSTICE Minister who has proved she doesn’t know what justice means. So let the public have its say. Few of our present MPs, Cabinet Members or Shadow Cabinet Members will survive to set up another rigged Committee of Enquiry. Returning stolen goods to the taxpayer isn't a get-out-of-jail-free card. Along with Bob Blizzard (Lab), John Greenway (Con) and Angus Robertson (SNP), she claimed £1 less than the maximum, thereby dropping 143 places lower on the list of most extravagant spenders! (She owns a flat in London for which she claimed £117,445 between 2001 and 2007). Eleanor Laing VOTED TO KEEP MPs LAVISH EXPENSE ACCOUNTS AND AGAINST A TRANSPARENT PARLIAMENT. Eleanor Laing voted very strongly FOR THE IRAQ WAR (Bush, Blair......... FALSE CLAIMS) and very strongly against the hunting ban. Eleanor Laing had the LARGEST MORTGAGE INTEREST CLAIM - £9,600. Many of Eleanor Laing’s constituents commute daily to London, while others struggle to keep possession of their homes in today’s financial climate. Many of her elderly constituents live in a world a million miles away from Mrs Laing's, I mean the real world where, after a lifetime of hard work, they can barely afford to exist on the basic pension. Such people create problems and solve very few and unless they go home, without pay, to "spend more time with their families" we, the taxpayer, will never regain control of our parliament. And who could deny that, centuries on, Westminster is desperately in need of a leader with even a smidgen of this man's integrity?
